PRO CAREER: Decorated college product joins the Sacramento Mountain Lions as a free agent for the 2010 UFL campaign… Gained his first professional experience in May 2010 when he participated in a rookie mini-camp with the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

 

COLLEGE: Played for the Rice Owls from 2006-2009 and totalled 318 tackles, 17 tackles for losses, 2 sacks, 7 forced fumbles, 6 fumble recoveries, 14 pass breakups and 9 interceptions… Earned honorable mention All-Conference USA honors despite having his senior season of 2009 cut short by injury… Played in seven games and recorded 64 tackles, 3 tackles for losses, 1 fumble recovery, 1 pass defense and 1 interception… Earned honorable mention All-Conference USA honors as a junior in 2008… Played in 12 games and registered 94 tackles, 1.5 tackles for losses, 1 forced fumble, 3 fumble recoveries, 1 pass breakup and 3 interceptions for 55 yards… Led the team with 107 tackles and 5 interceptions as a sophomore in 2007… Played in 12 games and added 3 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery and 7 pass breakups… Earned honorable mention All-Conference USA honors… Started all 12 games in 2006 and earned Freshman All-American honors… Recorded 53 tackles, 7 tackles for losses, 2 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery and 2 pass breakups.

 

PERSONAL: Attended Smithson Valley High School in Spring Branch, Texas… Was a two-time All-San Antonio area selection… Was named Comal County Defensive Player of the Year as a senior… Was twice named an All-State honorable mention… Was also a member of the school’s soccer and track and field teams… Twice named second-team All-District in soccer.
